Earthster's educational assignments feature facilitates LCA learning through iterative practice. Instructors create assignments that are automatically scored when learners submit their cycles, allowing learners to track their own progress and strive for mastery. Instructors can track overall and individual learner performance statistics.

Creating an assignment (instructor)
An assignment is a cycle, created by the instructor, that students use as a reference to assess and score their own version of the given assignment.
Only users with admin and member organizational roles can create assignments.
Open the cycle you want to turn into an assignment
From the cycle menu in the top-left corner, select Assignments
Click on the Add as assignment button
Cycles marked as assignments appear for the students in the list of available assignments.
Checking attempt results (instructor)
As an instructor you can see the attempt results as an overall performance statistics and you can lookup attempts submitted by a particular learner.
Open the cycle you want to review the attempst
From the cycle menu in the top-left corner, select Assignments
To check an individual learner's results type the name or email of the learner
NOTE: Search results will only display users who have already submitted at least one attempt.
A list of matching users will appear below (if any)
Click on any user to see a list of their attempts
A list of attempts will appear below the name. Click on any attempt from the list
The results modal will open for that attempt
Removing an assignment (instructor)
You can remove the assignment status from a cycle, however, this results in the following:
Students can no longer see the cycle as an assignment
All student attempts previously submitted for that assignment are permanently deleted
NOTE: This action cannot be undone, proceed with caution.

Open the cycle you want to remove the assignment status from
From the cycle menu in the top-left corner, select Assignments
Click the Remove from assignment button
In the confirmation window, click Confirm to remove the status

Turning your cycle into an assignment (learner)
You can use the assignment feature to submit your LCA work ("attempts") for evaluation. Each attempt is automatically scored (0-100), and the results are visible to you and your instructor. While you can submit multiple attempts per assignment, you cannot change your chosen assignment after submitting your initial attempt.
Sending the first assignment attempt
Open the cycle you want to turn into an assignment
From the cycle menu in the top-left corner, select Assignments
βSelect an assignment from the dropdown menu and click on the Submit new attempt button to turn your work in and see the scoring of your model
βClick Expand to see more information.
Submitting new attempts (learner)
You can submit as many attempt as you need to complete the assignment. Each attempt is automatically scored (0-100), and the results are visible to you and your instructor.
Open the cycle you want to submit as an attempt
From the cycle menu in the top-left corner, select Assignments
Click Submit new attempt at the bottom of the section
In the attempt results, click "Expand" for more details

Students and teachers can check the results of any attempt.
